Troop 303 - Wheaton, IL
Troop 303 is a member of the Three Fires Council, Chanonee District (#6) of the Boy Scouts of America.
Hope Presbyterian Church in Wheaton, Illinois charters the troop.
Troop 303 is an active, boy-led, camping-oriented Troop. We meet in Hope Church on two Monday nights a month, September through May. A typical meeting includes an opening flag ceremony, announcements, working on a scout skill or merit badge (with possibly a guest speaker), and closing flag ceremony.
The Troop has approximately 50 active Scouts and an active group of adult advisors. An outdoor campout or other event is planned for each month during the school year. Each summer a weeklong camping experience (or two!) is organized at a BSA camp. Troop 303 is a high-adventure troop, offering older Scouts trips to places like Philmont Scout Reservation in Cimarron, New Mexico, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, Boundary waters, and sailing at the Scout Seabase in Florida.
Troop 303 welcomes new members! We conduct our annual recruiting meetings and campouts in September -- November and welcome Webelos Dens and other visitors to join us to learn more about our Troop.
